Hunterdon Capital, LLC, has changed his mind about selling the property for preservation and has ended negotiations with Holland Township officials and Phillipsburg Riverview Organization (PRO). Developer cancels open-space deal

HOLLAND TOWNSHIP -- The preservation of a 90-acre tract on Shire Road fell through this week when the developer changed his mind on a deal for the township to purchase it as open space. The proposed subdivision of 15 homes received preliminary approval from the Planning Board on Oct. 14, despite objections from the Friends of Holland Township and the New Jersey chapter of the Sierra Club.

HOLLAND TWP. -- Township officials and environmentalists hope to revive an open space deal with the developer of a controversial housing project on Shire Road. In the meantime, opponents of the project are moving ahead with efforts to block the project.
